About The Book
The attractive, outwardly upstanding, First Lady Anette Reynolds, grew up as a PK. In other words, a Preacher’s Kid. Her husband, the tall, charismatic Pastor Joshua Reynolds, Sr. heads up her father’s newest church location on the north side of Beaumont, Texas. At first glance, Anette appears to be the perfect wife and mother, even to her husband of seventeen years. Underneath the surface, Anette struggles with the loss of a daughter her husband never knew existed, unforgiveness, and more recently, infidelity with her husband’s right-hand man, the tall, dark and handsome Deacon John Sanders who worships the ground she walks on.
While Joshua does put most of his time and effort into Church Affairs, some over the table and some under it, he manages to build church membership along with his own closet of skeletons. With equal playing fields of deception and lies that threaten to single-handedly destroy them both, will this couple “stay and honor” their vows, working through their pasts together. Or will Anette follow “her heart” and leave him for herself before she’s destroyed beyond repair?
WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY!
What’s done in the dark will eventually come to the light. When given the opportunity to tell the truth - TELL IT, it saves years of living a lie. Everything isn’t meant to be kept a secret!
Very good and entertaining book, with events that we all have heard of in the church. It is a good read. Well written.
This was a good book. I was supposed to be working but I couldn't put it down. It took me on a constant rollercoaster. I guess it'll wrap things up in book two.
A CHURCH AFFAIR was a great page turner. This book kept me engaged from the first page! Anette is a fictitious character but very relatable. The pain and trauma that she has silently lived with is present in many women today. Her journey is a special one and I can’t wait to see what else is in store for her.
This book is full of surprises. It is so hard to put down.
A CHURCH AFFAIR is a very good book. From the very beginning it draws one's attention. It almost seems like a Christian gossip, makes you wanna know, what you don't want to know. Very interesting book from beginning to end.
